Today was our last day of the trip. We started the day with a traditional hotel breakfast at the hotel we were staying at in Dundee. They even offered Haggis for breakfast (although no one was brave enough to try it for breakfast). Our next destination was back to Edinburgh to visit Heriot-Watt University where there was an open day. The first thing we were greeted with at the university was a man in a kilt playing the bagpipe, just like yesterday we were amazed by the true scottish culture! We were provided with a guided tour of the campus and also got to see inside the accommodations which was really nice since we got to see exactly how the students lived. During the tour we also got to see a bunch of the societies the school offered, the most interesting one being the medieval society that were engaged in a sword fight as we passed (bottom right). After the tour we got to walk around campus and go inside the main building and talk to specific courses we were interested in, which was also very helpful.
After our visit we went straight to the airport in Edinburgh to catch our flight. We took one last pic at the same place we took our first pic. This trip has been truly helpful and provided insight information that has been extremely useful. We got the opportunity to see different universities that all offered different things depending on what you’re interested in, which was really nice. I think we all left the trip with a lot more knowledge and understanding of the Scottish university life. Thank you to Jonas, Stuart and Leslie who came with us on the trip and made this happen. Once again, that you to the tour organizers and of course Malmö Borgarskola for giving us the opportunity to go. It’s been absolutely fantastic!
