May 2016: Outstanding IB Diploma Results!

Once again the graduating class obtained outstanding IB Diploma results. Both the students and their teachers are to be congratulated on this very commendable achievement. The IB Diploma is marked out of 45 points. Candidates may gain up to 7 points for each of the 6 subjects studied and 3 further points for the combined results of their Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge. Only 0.12 percent of the IB students worldwide get 45 points

We had one student with 44p, Mukhtar Al-Nasrawi  and three students with 43p, Maja Sörensen, Ellinor Elofsson and “Zach” Athanasios Tsilimbaris. (2015: We had one student with 44p, (his 7th subject was a 7) and three students with 43p.).

-A mean score of 36,1 (6 years since we had a result as good as 2016)  from a cohort of 95 diploma students. The world average is around 29 points (Sweden 30p). (2015, 34,1p)

-100% received a diploma, +24p. (2015 100%)

-24  students (25%) gained 40-45 points, which is achieved only by 5% of the students worldwide.

40 points in the IB diploma corresponds with 20,0 in the Swedish national grading. (2015, 14 students  or 14%)

-53 of our students (56%) were awarded a Distinguished Pass. (any Diploma above 36p is classified by the IB as a Distinguished Pass). (2015, 32 students or 33%)​
