Malmö Borgarskola is the best school in Sweden if you want to know the inside scoop on how to get accepted to a US/UK college or university!
Many universities will visit MB this fall (last year w had more than 70 visits) and on September 21st an admissions expert from Ivy Plus came Borgarskolan and had a seminar on “How to Get Accepted to US/UK Universities”. What a success!
Last week we also had three International Officers from, European University, UCL and Kings College at the school!
UCL has around 4,000 academic and research staff and 650 professors, the highest number of any British university. There are 26 Nobel Prize winners and three Fields Medalists amongst UCL’s alumni and current and former staff, the most recent being Sir Charles K. Kao, who received the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2009. UCL is ranked 21st in the world (and 3rd in Europe) in the 2012 Academic Ranking of World Universities, 4th in the world (and 2nd in Europe) in the 2012 QS World University Rankings and 17th in the world (and 5th in Europe) in the 2011 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
King’s is ranked 68th in the world (and 19th in Europe) in the 2012 Academic Ranking of World Universities, 26th in the world (and 7th in Europe) in the 2012 QS World University Rankings, and 56th in the world (and 12th in Europe) in the 2012 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. There are currently 10 Nobel Prize laureates amongst King’s alumni and current and former faculty. In September 2010, The Sunday Times selected King’s as its “University of the Year”.
King’s is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, the Russell Group and Universities UK. It forms part of the ‘Golden Triangle’ of British universities.
YALE came yesterday evening and had a presentation in the aula! I am sure we will have at least one or two students accepted again this year!
Yale University is an American private Ivy League research university located in New Haven, Connecticut. Founded in 1701 in the Colony of Connecticut, the university is the third-oldest institution of higher education in the United States. Incorporated as the “CollegiateSchool”, the institution traces its roots to 17th-century clergymen who sought to establish a college to train clergy and political leaders for the colony.
The U.S. News & World Report ranked Yale third among national universities in 2012, as it has for each of the past fifteen years, in every case behind, in either order or tied, Princeton and Harvard. It was ranked fourth in the 2011 QS World University Rankings and tenth in the 2010 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.(In 2010 Times Higher Education World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings parted ways to produce separate rankings.)
Yale had featured in the top five for each of the past four years. The same ranking also named Yale as the fifth best university in the world for arts and humanities.
Malmö Borgarskola and IB is the gateway to higher education and the world!
